POSTER DESIGN
ADAGIO WINE
Product: Adagio wine
Tools: Photoshop, Adobe Dimensions and Adobe Illustrator.
Goal: To create a logo, a 3D container and a promotional poster for a fictional wine company.
1. Logo design
Using Adobe Illustrator, I crafted a logo design for a fictional wine company named Adagio. The company's target audience is adults aged 40 years and above, who like music and socializing with friends and family over a bottle of wine.
Inspired by the target audience's interest, I decided to create a logo that blends the elements of music and wine. Therefore, I made a design that incorporates a musical instrument using negative space to depict a wine bottle.
2. Label Design
The label was designed with a traditional look using Adobe Illustrator.
One of the main challenges was to maintain a traditional aesthetic that would complement the logo design. To achieve this, I opted for a gray and white color palette with a rustic effect.
3. 3D Container
Using Adobe Dimensions, I designed a 3D container for the Adagio wine bottle.
For this task I experimented with different colors and shapes, but ultimately I decided upon a traditional bottle style.
4. Poster
For the final poster, I included some additional 3D elements such as grapes and a wine glass. I opted to write the brand name in crimson red to complement the logo.
The final image was created using Adobe Photoshop.
Final Thoughts:
One of my favorite parts of this work was that I learned how to use negative space effectively in the logo design to convey multiple elements.
Designing a traditional label and a poster challenged me to maintain a cohesive aesthetic with the brand identity and the logo. Moreover, working with Adobe Dimensions to create the 3D container provided valuable insights of the software.
